1. Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how the alamerhub n8n automation platform ("the Service") handles data when connecting to Google services. The Service is a private, self-hosted n8n instance operated solely for the account owner's personal automation workflows.
2. Google API Permissions & Data Accessed
The Service connects to Google APIs through OAuth 2.0. Access is limited to the minimum scopes required for the automation workflows described below:
- Gmail API — The Service reads, processes, and sends email messages as part of automated workflows. This includes reading message metadata (subject, sender, date) and message content when required by a specific workflow. The Service does not access Gmail contacts, Gmail settings, or any Gmail features beyond those needed for the active workflows.
- Google Drive API — The Service views, creates, and manages files and folders as part of automated workflows. This includes listing files, reading file content, and creating or updating files when required by a specific workflow. The Service does not access Google Drive settings, shared drives, or any Drive features beyond those needed for the active workflows.
Access is restricted to the account owner's own Google account data. No other users' data is accessed at any time.
3. Data Use
Google user data accessed through the Service is used exclusively to execute the account owner's personal automation workflows within n8n. Specifically:
- Data is processed in real time as part of workflow execution and is not stored beyond what n8n requires for workflow operation.
- Data is used solely to perform the tasks defined in the account owner's n8n workflows.
- Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with advertisers.
- Google user data is not shared with any third parties.
4. Data Storage & Retention
The Service is self-hosted on infrastructure controlled by the account owner. Google data processed through workflows may be temporarily stored in n8n's execution logs and workflow variables as needed for workflow operation. The account owner is responsible for managing retention settings within n8n. No Google data is transmitted to or stored by any external third-party service.
5. Data Security
The Service is accessed through a private, authenticated endpoint protected by Cloudflare Tunnel. OAuth credentials and tokens are stored securely within the n8n instance. Access to the n8n platform is restricted to the account owner.
6. Google API Scope Limitations
The Service requests only the OAuth scopes necessary for its defined workflows. If workflows are modified, additional scopes may be requested, but only with the account owner's explicit consent through Google's OAuth consent flow. The Service does not request broad or unnecessary permissions.
7. Your Rights
As the account owner and sole user of the Service, you have full control over:
- Revoking Google API access at any time through your Google Account security settings
- Reviewing and deleting workflow execution data within n8n
- Modifying or removing workflows that access Google data
- Requesting deletion of any stored data by removing the relevant workflows and clearing execution logs
8. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes in the Service's Google API usage. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
